Marko Gerić was born in 1987 and defended his PhD in 2016.
He has been a CGS/EEMGS member since 2011 and is actively involved in the national society’s activities and has participated in the conferences organised by both societies.
He was also officially in the Organising Committee of the CGS congress in 2012 (3rd Congress of Croatian Geneticists with international participation) Krk, Crotia.
Marko is a co-author on 34 publications in the environmental and occupational domains (12 of them as first author) and at 32 years old his contribution to several national and international scientific projects has shown that he deserves the award.
His willingness to actively communicate with not only the scientific community but to also share his experience with the general public and especially with young adults should be acknowledged.
